Set in the leafy fictional village of Wellcastle in Northamptonshire, Genevieve Harrington-James the daughter and Granddaughter of a wealthy landowner and Industrialist lives on the sprawling country estate of Ambleside. As the only surviving child of Edgar Harrington-James and the late Emmeline Lordship, born into a family of wealth and privilege Genevieve appears to have everything. However this child is hiding a dark secret which if exposed could tear the very fabric of the only world she has ever known. So in a desperate bid to hold on to what little family she has left, Genevieve (Jenny) tries to expose the truth but it backfires and she is left with no choice but to run.
Two decades later in another city we find Jenny now an outstanding criminal lawyer. She uses her wealth and expertise to help the underprivileged, creating alliances with the most unlikely of characters. Jenny needs answers for her past, but anger is fueling her obsession for revenge. Someone has to answer for her her pain, for her loss and for her grief. So, she sets about in the most unlikely way to achieve the ultimate revenge.
